Tall Chest of drawers Universal System design Jasper Morrison, Cappellini, Blue

Description

Selling a rare and long-time discontinued collectible chest of drawers designed by Jasper Morrison and manufactured by Cappellini.  It is part of the “Universal System” collection (1990) produced by Cappellini. This particular chest was made in the final runs of production (has a beautiful blue finish vs regular plywood). The chest is on casters. The chest is used and is in good overall vintage condition with scratches and indents/blemishes here and there. Additional pictures are available upon request. Please see my other auction for a matching low chest of drawers by same designer. Jasper Morrison’s “Universal System” is on permanent display in art museums around the world. The last picture shows a sideboard from same collection in Centre Pompidou - Musée national d'art moderne, Paris.

This is a cash and ocal pick-up only auction. LOCATED IN NORTH VA (WASHINGTON D.C. AREA). TOO LARGE TO BE SHIPPED! Since item is for local pick-up (i.e. without tracking and shipping documents) buyer must inspect/test the item on pick-up in person and once satisfied with item he/she must provide the eBay-issued code for scanning on pick-up, must acknowledge receipt of item according to description through eBay messaging system, and must exchange feedback before item leaves the premises.
Same applies to shipping/pick-up arranged by buyers on their own through a specialized shipping/moving company - item must be inspected on pick-up by buyer’s shippers and buyer must then acknowledge through eBay messaging system of his/her shippers’ taking possession of the item and both parties must exchange feedback before item leaves the premises.
This is an expensive appliance and I do not ship it because it is too bulky, way too heavy, and fragile, and I don’t want to take the risk of something being broken in transit. Distant buyers however can arrange shipping/pick-up on their own in line with the terms stated above. This has been listed locally on other online platforms so bid early. I can deliver it in person locally for a fee and to more distant places like MD, PA, NC, SC, GA, but please inquire on cost before bidding.
